Journalism Fellowships Announced
Jack Webster Foundation Co-Chairs Don Babick and Scott Macrae today announced more than $18,000 in funding for 2011 recipients of the JWF Professional Development Fellowships.Six recipients will attend the Poynter Institute in Florida in the following courses: Essential Skills for the Digital Journalist, TV Power Reporting, Poynter Leadership Academy, Building a Successful Social Media Strategy, and Great Stories Every Day. One recipient is funded for an online course at Thompson Rivers University Opening Learning.
"We're very proud that the Jack Webster Foundation is able to provide professional development opportunities for BC journalists," Macrae said. "To date a total of $164,000 has been distributed."

Deadline for entries to the 2012 fellowships is February 6, 2012.
