Journalism Fellowships Announced

Jack Webster Foundation Co-Chairs Anne McMullin and Ernest Yee today announced $7500 in funding for 2017 recipients of the JWF Professional Development Fellowships.

"We're very proud that the Jack Webster Foundation is able to provide professional development opportunities for BC journalists," said Anne McMullin, Co-Chair of the Jack Webster Foundation. "To date, close to $220,000 has been distributed." The 2017 Jack Webster Foundation Fellows are:

Nagy receives the JWF Fellowship in the name of the late BC reporter Don Matheson, whose estate endowed professional development awards for BC born journalists.

Nagy will attend the TV Power Reporting Academy at the Poynter Institute in Florida and Lovgreen will attend the National Press Photographers' Advanced Storytelling Workshop in Texas.
